New shift knob for my A3. I wanted a leather S-Line knob but they're 120€ new and about 60€ used. No thanks. Got this one for 40€ brand new. Not everyone's cup of tea but I quite like it.

That’s nice. I’ve thought about getting the OEM wood knob for my car since I have the wood interior trim. I’ve just had too many other am things to spend money on this summer.

Love it. Where can I find one??? The leather shift knob in my A4 is a mess, and because I have the tan interior, finding a tan leather replacement has been impossible. Wood would match my trim!

That looks great ! I know it’s mostly superficial but I almost always change out the shift knob. I’ve got this one in my mk7

I can only provide the parts number for the A4 shifter which seems to be identical. I got mine from a German engine rebuild place.

It's very plastic-y in base trim but as with many VAG cars parts are super easy to swap across the model range.

Paid something like 45€ exVAT at the dealership 3 years ago for the SLine 5 speed on my 8L (visually identical to the 8P/8E model), prices have gone mad !

I previously had the Aliexpress version of the SLine knob that i paid less than 10€ including shipping but the metal ring was starting to rust a little and was not flush as one the Audi part so i decided to buy the “real” one but still totally worth i t’s price (especially if the Audi part is getting that expensive) .
Lately, i b ought an Aliexpress armrest “door ” for my A4 for less than 10€ as the OEM part is not even in real leather...

At least Audi still sells most stuff albeit at a premium. Audi Tradition even sells original stickers for tire pressure etc. Good thing is junkyards are getting more and more 8p/8e
